Overview
2D illustration is a powerful medium for storytelling and visual expression. This project showcases a collection of my 2D illustrations, highlighting my skills in character design, color theory, and detailed rendering. Utilizing Procreate for sketches, colors, textures, and shading, and Photoshop for final adjustments and color correction, each piece reflects a blend of creativity and technical proficiency.
Design Process
Conceptualization
The process begins with conceptualizing each illustration, where I brainstorm and sketch initial ideas using Procreate. This phase involves exploring different themes, characters, and compositions to ensure each piece is unique and visually engaging.
Sketching & Detailing
Using Procreate, I create detailed sketches of each illustration. This involves defining the structure, pose, and overall composition. Once the sketch is finalized, I move on to adding colors, textures, and shading. Procreate’s versatile tools allow me to experiment with various styles and techniques, bringing each illustration to life with depth and vibrancy.
Coloring & Shading
Color plays a crucial role in setting the mood and tone of each illustration. I carefully select color palettes that enhance the visual impact and convey the desired emotions. Shading and texturing are meticulously applied to add depth and realism, making the characters and scenes more immersive.
Final Adjustments
The final step involves transferring the illustrations to Photoshop for color correction and final adjustments. This phase ensures that the colors are balanced, the lighting is consistent, and the overall visual quality meets the highest standards. Photoshop’s powerful editing tools help refine the details and enhance the overall look of each piece.
